Early in 2018, a permanent Pokémon Café opened in Tokyo, and I was lucky enough to be able to visit it when I was in Japan! It’s been just about a year since I went, but I’m finally getting around to sharing my impressions… with lots of photos, of course!
This month, we’re shifting the Community Game-Along theme focus away from genres of games to a game developer! The theme for May is Game Freak, the Japanese game developer famous for the Pokémon series. But that’s not all! This month is a great time to dive into the rest of their catalog, from Drill Dozer to Pocket Card Jockey.

Which is why when I heard that she had opened preorders for a new Pokétreat pin series and extended the deadline when the preorder goal hadn’t been met, I knew I had to share it to help spread the word!
I first became aware of Stasia’s adorable brand Ugly Plants around the release of Pokémon Sun and Moon, when photos of her amazing Mimikyu plushies were circulating around the internet. But I soon found out that Stasia is not only extremely skilled at making plushies of Pokémon and other cute characters, but all kinds of other merchandise, too!

After my first experience using Tenso to forward packages from Japan to Australia a year ago, my buying habits have drastically changed.
