After missing a month due to a mini-break at the beginning of October, the Chic Pixel monthly favorites feature is back! For October, I’ll be including anything noteworthy from September that I didn’t get a chance to cover already, so this month should be extra packed. Plus, it was Halloween, one of my favorite holidays! It goes without saying that I got my spook on… Well, mostly through my attempts to collect the festive skins in Overwatch.

When I started running monthly community gaming events nearly 3 years ago, I wanted to make sure to choose themes that highlighted neglected or overlooked game developers or genres. Well, this month marks my first potentially controversial theme: erotic games! To be more specific, this November you’re encouraged to play games with sexual or otherwise adult content. Sorry kids, but you’ll have to sit this one out! (The contents of this post, however, are safe for work)
I’m always thrilled to receive a new OyatsuBox Japanese snack subscription box in the mail, and with their new bright red box, there’s no way I’ll miss it! It may be the end of October, but today I’m going to be covering their September box, which came packed full of great snacks and candy, and one very interesting drink. I always say that I’ll try any food once, so that’s exactly the mindset I had when I jumped at the chance to purchase Halloween yogurt-flavored Cheetos from Japan. When I hear “yogurt Cheetos” I definitely don’t think “yeah that’s something I really want to eat!” but my curiosity always gets the better of me… I just have to try it! Which is exactly what I did in this year’s Halloween Apricotsushi Samples episode. Give it a watch to see what I thought!
I didn’t even realize the bag was glow-in-the-dark when I ordered them, but it was such a cool touch! Too bad my camera couldn’t actually pick it up for the video, but it really did glow! As you can see from the tasting I was not exactly thrilled with these Cheetos, and if I had to choose would definitely go for another bag of the banana Cheetos over these yogurt ones.
Do you think they’ll do a Christmas Cheetos flavor? If they did, what would it be? Between these and the Mountain Dew Cheetos they did a while back, it seems like any flavor of Cheetos is possible… Let me know if you’d be willing to give yogurt Cheetos a shot in the comments! When an English version of Teddy Together was announced earlier this year, I was completely shocked. After the Japanese version came out way back in June 2013, there was not a peep of a localization. All of a sudden, Europe and Australia would be getting the teddy bear simulator fully voiced in English only a few months after the initial localization announcement! While I was initially a little skeptical of the whole premise due to being slightly creeped out by the talking bear character, after spending time with the actual game, I can say it’s actually really cute!
I’ve finally completed my second route in Kyoukai no Shirayuki! After posting my general impressions along with my thoughts of the first route I completed (Saji Kakeya), I decided the best way to share my thoughts going forward would be to do a writeup of each route as I complete them. It may be a while before I finish all of them, but this way I can be as thorough as possible!
I was really glad @Westraid suggested the hot policeman, Yori Zenno, for my second character, because he turned out to be just as great as he looks. I had to make sure to get my impressions of his route up for his birthday today, too!
