Hello everyone! If you follow me on social media (If not, I’m most active on Twitter and Instagram, so give me a follow!), you’ll know that for the past couple of months I’ve been scrambling to finish up my PhD dissertation. There’s been a bit of a dip in my posting schedule because of that… But never fear! Things will be back to normal after I submit in just over a week and take a short break to restore my energy reserves!

Aksys Games to Release Four New Otome Games in 2018

Aksys Games continues to be a huge supporter of otome game English releases with not one but four new game announcements at Anime Expo! In 2018, Aksys Games will release 7’scarlet, Psychedelica of the Black Butterfly, Psychedelica of the Ashen Hawk, and Code: Realize ~Bouquet of Rainbows~. In addition, Aksys named a release date for one of their previous otome game announcements, Bad Apple Wars, which will be launching in North America on September 29th in both regular and limited editions.

Kickstarter Spotlight: Girrion Issue 7

Author Tom Lintern has a unique way of approaching his Kickstarter campaigns: instead of looking to fund an entire book in one go, he’s been publishing his sci-fi fantasy epic Girrion Book 1: The Chrysalis and the Stone graphic novel issue by issue. Last year, I covered Girrion‘s issue 4 and 5 Kickstarter. Now, Tom is up to issue 7, and it’s fully funded with 5 days to go!

Girrion tells the story of Jarra, a factory worker who dreams of bigger things. When his city is attacked, he’s thrust in the middle of a war… which is probably not the best way to get out of your boring day job! Most of the subscription boxes I’ve tried have been dedicated to snacks, all things cute, or trendy pop culture merchandise, but Neko Box stands out for offering high-quality Japanese ceramics, homewares, and other trinkets carefully curated around a different theme every month. Hobonichi Flip Through Video: April 2017

Each month I’ve been trying my best to upload a new Hobonichi Techo flip through, and even though I’ve fallen a little behind, I’ve finally posted my April video! If you like cute stationery, journaling, or just want to see how I fill out my daily Hobonichi Techo pages, please give it a watch!

I knew keeping up with daily journaling would get more and more difficult as I neared the end of my thesis, but what’s surprised me is that I do use it daily, I just don’t always have time to gussy up the pages. Writing down my daily tasks in my Hobonichi Techo the night before has totally become a part of my routine, and I always look forward to carving out some time (usually on weekends) to dedicate to cutting up cute pictures, adding stickers, or drawing on the pages!

If you’re looking for a form of stress relief that doesn’t involve staring at a screen (honestly, we could all use a little less screen time these days), I highly recommend trying out some kind of journaling! Hopefully I’ll have my May flip through ready to share sometime soon!
