My latest video is a collection video I’ve been wanting to do for a while – my Game Boy Advance game collection! Japanese GBA game boxes have the most amazing designs and can be found relatively cheap, which is why I started collecting them a few years ago. I’ve been slowly amassing a collection over the years, and now I have nearly 20 titles that are mostly niche games not released outside of Japan! Check out my full collection video below:
June 2018 Community Game-Along: Rhythm Games
We’re halfway through 2018, which means we’re also halfway through the Community Game-Along themes of 2018! How many have you participated in so far? I’ll admit I haven’t been able to join in as many as I’d like, but it’s time for another one of my favorite themes: rhythm games! I love celebrating rhythm games because it’s an easy genre for anyone to pick up and play, with tons of cheap and even free games available for a variety of devices.
Fall in Love with Love with Pocky
When Glico announced back in December that they were doing a Pocky gijinka campaign where the different flavors would be transformed into handsome guys voiced by famous voice actors, I knew I had to get my hands on some. Luckily, @everydayfoxlife was kind enough to hunt down a few boxes for me! Later, I ended up finding the regular and heartful Pocky flavors here in Australia, so I picked up a couple more for good measure.
Tokyo Travel Journal Flip Through Video
I finally finished my Tokyo travel journal, and while I’ve had the flip through video up for a little while now, I wanted to share some of my favorite pages here and talk more about the process! If you haven’t watched the video yet, you can check it out below:
PriPara All Idol Perfect Stage Review
PriPara is a girls idol fashion and rhythm game series that started as arcade machines back in 2014 and has been adapted into an anime, manga, and numerous games. I’ve always thought it was adorable, but I’ve never gotten into it… Until now! Thanks to my awesome Patreon supporters, I was able to purchase PriPara All Idol Perfect Stage for the Nintendo Switch to review. Since the Switch is region-free, it’s easy to import Japanese games to play, no matter where you live! Check out the video below for the first 20 minutes of gameplay:
Unboxing the Gorgeous The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Limited Edition Soundtrack
This video was published last Thursday (well, Friday if you live in my neck of the woods!), but I’m only getting around to writing a blog post about it now. Whoops! I’m getting in the swing of uploading a new video to my YouTube channel every Thursday evening EST, so please look forward to them! … Read moreUnboxing the Gorgeous The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Limited Edition Soundtrack
May 2018 Community Game-Along: Manami Matsumae
May is upon us! For this month’s Community Game-Along, I wanted to highlight a composer, rather than a game genre or specific series. For May, that composer is Manami Matsumae! She’s famous for composing the iconic original Mega Man soundtrack, and she recently released a solo album titled Three Movements! Even if you don’t have time to participate by playing a game this month, be sure to give some of her awesome music a listen.
